The role involves developing and implementing new products to meet performance and cost targets while providing technical support to manufacturing operations. Responsibilities also include participating in gated product development processes, applying lean manufacturing principles, and conducting product testing to gather performance data.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new products to ensure performance and practical costs
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and lead long-term process improvement initiatives
- Participate in gated product development processes and apply lean manufacturing principles
- Set up and test various products to gather performance data
- Ensure all product designs comply with relevant HVAC industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations
Requirements
- B.S or Technology Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD, ERP and Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience or a solid understanding of power tools, hand tools, HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication
- Understanding of design for manufacturability concepts
