Responsibilities
- Define Process: co-own the end-to-end design process for Travel Mode within their iOS and Android apps
- Drive Experimentation: work within a rapid experimentation culture, leveraging testing and mobile-specific analytics to guide iterative design decisions
- Define Mobile Strategy: shape and communicate a clear vision for the MVP, balancing "big-picture" strategic goals with hands-on execution
- Simplify Complexity: partner with Product and Engineering to turn complex guidance data, community contributions, and marketplace logistics into simple, "one-tap" mobile solutions
- Native First: champion user-centered design and lead the way in defining features and functionality that are uniquely native
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping native mobile products
- Deep understanding of platform-specific behaviors and know-how to leverage them to create intuitive interfaces
- Exceptional Design Craft: a portfolio showcasing high-quality, production-ready mobile experiences
- Collaborative Leadership: a proven history of partnering with engineers to ship high-performance features
- Strategic Communication: impactful communication skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- User-Centric Mindset: a background in using research, data, and "jobs-to-be-done" frameworks to advocate for the user
