The Staff Product Designer will partner with leaders across eBay to shape the future of the end-to-end search experience, setting a clear vision and strategy across multiple surfaces. Responsibilities include creating world-class, user-centered designs, driving product design for end-to-end projects, and uniting related projects into a cohesive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Create world-class, user-centered designs and experiences which solve for customer needs, deliver on business requirements, account for technical feasibility, and leverage future trends
- Use understanding of user-centered design processes and ability to create prototypes and high-quality design work to drive product design for end-to-end projects in agile, cross-functional teams
- Identify and validate user problems, produce inventive and thoughtful solutions for users that also work for the business, and ship meaningful product updates that deliver tangible results
- Unite multiple related projects into a cohesive portfolio and end-to-end experience for customers via collaboration with design system teams, engineers, and multiple product management teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in product design as an IC design lead working across large cross-domain and cross-functional projects
- Outstanding portfolio which demonstrates a broad range of design and product strategy across web-based and native applications and consumer experiences
- Experience using design thinking methodologies & UCD processes to drive collaboration across agile, cross-functional teams in a large organization
