Design Engineering Summer Student - 4-Month term

The role involves developing and revising CAD models for new designs and engineering enhancements, while also supporting the creation, documentation, and standardization of engineering design models. Responsibilities also include assisting with performance testing and observing production processes to assess design feasibility and identify improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and revise CAD models for new designs and engineering enhancements
- Support the creation, documentation, and standardization of engineering design models
- Maintain an organized library of standard mechanical and electrical CAD components
- Assist with performance testing of air handling units and related components
- Observe production processes to assess design feasibility and identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams
- Participate in engineering review meetings and project discussions
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related engineering program
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) through coursework or projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
