Onsite Full-time Entry Level

The Part-Time Graphic Designer will create content, print pieces, and promotional materials to maintain and improve the visual branding of Highlands College. They will assist the Senior Designer in executing design work based on brand standards and feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic design for Highlands College events, promotions, departments, and conferences
  • Understanding the Highlands College brand and supporting it through all design projects
  • Assisting with collaboration with vendors on print projects
  • Maintaining awareness of current design tools and techniques
  • Contributing design ideas and solutions within established creative direction
  • Communicating with Senior Designer and other team members

Requirements

  • Foundational graphic design skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges, and ideas
  • Self-motivated to meet deadlines
  • Life-giving spirit and attitude

About Highlands College

Highlands College is the further, higher and adult education college of the States of Jersey. It operates from a main campus in St Saviour and has an adult education annexe at the Philip Mourant Centre in Trinity. Classes are also held at various other centres in the community, including the Welcome Centre at St Thomas’ Church. The mission of Highlands is to provide lifelong learning opportunities, which enhance student achievement and bring personal and economic success. Over 6,000 people study at the College annually, mainly on a part-time basis, and in September 2017 over 790 full-time students were recruited.
