Responsibilities
- Personally drive end-to-end industrial design for physical products: concept, form development, detailing, and refinement
- Develop high-quality NURBS CAD data using tools like Plasticity 3D, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc., suitable for engineering collaboration and manufacturing discussions
- Design complex, high-quality surfaces with a strong understanding of continuity, transitions, and visual precision
- Define ergonomics, physical interaction, and operator-centered workflows
- Translate product strategy and functional requirements into clear, buildable design solutions
- Create high-end renderings and visualizations (e.g. Blender, KeyShot) for internal alignment, partners, and presentations
- Develop and maintain product livery systems, including graphics, typography, icons, and surface language
- Support UI/UX teams with hardware-related interaction concepts and system ideation (no coding required)
- Contribute to event-space concepts, spatial visuals, and executive-level presentation layouts
- Work closely with engineering, understanding basic mechanics, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints to resolve design challenges pragmatically
- Track and integrate trends from tech, outdoor equipment, fashion, AI, art, and contemporary design
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in industrial or product design with shipped physical products
- Strong hands-on expertise in NURBS-based CAD and complex surface modeling
- Proven ability to design within real-world engineering and manufacturing constraints
- Solid understanding of ergonomics, interaction design, and functional product architecture
- Strong visualization and rendering skills
- Excellent eye for graphic design, typography, and product branding/livery
- Comfort working independently, structuring ambiguity, and taking ownership through execution
- Interest in mechanics, materials, and engineering principles is a strong plus
- Portfolio demonstrating clean, modern, high-quality hardware design and execution depth
