The Product Designer will own design for meaningful product areas from concept through launch and iteration, collaborating closely with Product Managers and engineers. They will conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and contribute to Spellbook's visual language.
Responsibilities
- Own design for meaningful product areas from concept through launch and iteration
- Partner closely with Product Managers to shape product strategy and define the "why" behind what we build
- Design flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI with strong attention to detail
- Conduct user research and usability testing with legal professionals to inform and validate design decisions
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality execution and thoughtful tradeoffs
- Contribute to and help evolve Spellbook's visual language
- Advocate for the user while balancing speed, technical constraints, and business goals
- Support with other responsibilities and projects as required
Requirements
- Several years of experience designing web products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS products
- Eye for good design, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
