
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating layouts and designs for advertisements and various documents, including brochures, newsletters, and presentations. They collaborate with copywriters and marketing coordinators to develop designs that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- The Graphic Designer is responsible for the layout and design advertisements and a variety of documents
- Design content for our hospital and its subsidiaries
- Provides graphic services to hospital and its subsidiaries
- Provides input and/or recommends layout and design options on projects
- Designs presentations in overheads, slides or PowerPoint
- Designs banners, ads and other images for web sites
- Revises existing forms and designs new forms
- Proofreads work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Completes work according to department and corporate standards
- Maintains confidentiality
- Balances priorities to meet deadlines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Knowledge of layout and design principles acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design or related area
- A creative, out-of-the-box thinker who can work collaboratively with copywriters and service line marketing coordinators
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work under constant deadlines
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of print production and a thorough working knowledge of preparing documents for printing
- Possesses excellent design skills with a strong attention to detail, quality, proofreading and creativity
- Demonstrates proficiency in software packages for graphic design, including InDesign, Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience in web design highly preferred
