Senior UI/UX Designer

Spearhead the design strategy for crew displays and interaction systems for the MK2 Blue Moon Lander. Collaborate with various teams to integrate design considerations into operational deliverables and enhance mission effectiveness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design strategy for crew displays and interaction systems used in the MK2 Blue Moon Lander
• Conduct extensive user research to understand astronaut needs and iterate on design solutions that enhance mission effectiveness and safety
• Collaborate closely with engineering, flight software, mission operations, and crew systems teams to integrate design considerations into operational deliverables
• Create detailed interaction models, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes that adhere to program standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work
• Deep understanding of the Human-Centered Design process, UX principles, and interaction design standards
• Proficiency in using industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision)
• Strong technical background with an understanding of the constraints and opportunities in designing for space or other high-risk operational environments
