
The Product Designer is responsible for the end-to-end user experience of a product within the QAD Suite of ERP solutions. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-centered designs and validating them through usability testing.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management to create user-centered experiences using personas, storyboards, user journeys, and flowcharts, while representing the user perspective throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and final mockups that deliver intuitive, efficient, and effective user experiences.
- Validate and refine designs through design reviews, usability testing, and direct feedback from end users.
- Conduct outside-in research to understand customer needs and gather insights to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to UX vision and strategy in partnership with Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Support UX maturity across the organization by participating in UX training initiatives and sharing best practices.
- Present UX insights, concepts, and deliverables to internal stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in product design, preferably within ERP systems or complex enterprise applications.
- Strong interaction design skills with a solid understanding of the end-to-end UX process.
- Experience in storytelling and creating simple, compelling user stories.
- Proven experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing product requirements.
- Strong aesthetic sense with attention to detail.
- Excellent prototyping skills.
Key Skills
- Expertise with wireframing and design tools such as Axure, Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, or Illustrator.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Knowledge of UI guidelines and best practices across major platforms (iOS, macOS, Windows, Google, and web).
- Understanding of development technology constraints and trade-offs (e.g., XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
