UX Designer, Google Home Experience

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to create user experiences. Own the design of complete user experiences, ensuring a seamless, multi-modal experience across various devices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes
• Own the design of complete user experiences, from initial conceptualization and journey mapping to final interaction and visual specifications
• Apply a visual design craft to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, ensuring aesthetic quality, consistency, and compliance with the Material Design system
• Contribute to and maintain a growing library of flexible, reusable multi-modal components and patterns specific to the Gemini for Home experience, ensuring consistency across all devices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 4 years of experience in product design or UX
• Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes
• Experience in implementing visual design systems across various platforms in a software development environment
• Experience with smart home devices and services, or consumer products
