Principal Product Designer, Slack Messaging

The Principal Product Designer will work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent the design team and ensure design quality. They will lead design discussions, create prototypes, and mentor other designers while influencing the overall direction of the product area.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent design team and facilitate design discussions
• Collaborate closely with leadership to define features and influence overall direction of product area
• Design flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity UI for experiments and features
• Lead by example and help team members learn and grow

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in an individual contributor role on a Product Design team
• Deep understanding of system-level work and proven track record of delivering scalable solutions
• Outstanding portfolio showcasing strong foundation in typography, interaction, and visual design
