Staff Product Designer - Emerging Products

You will partner with Product and Engineering to define roadmaps and design experiences across various interfaces. Additionally, you will simplify complex workflows and contribute to the design culture at Okta.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering to define roadmaps and bring clarity to ambiguous problems
• Design experiences across SDKs, CLIs, APIs, and web interfaces for developers
• Simplify complex identity and authorization workflows into usable, scalable patterns
• Contribute to and evolve the design system, experimenting with new patterns for emerging use cases
• Collaborate with Research to run usability testing and translate insights into design improvements

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design, ideally with developer platforms, B2B SaaS, or technical tools
• Strong UI/UX/visual design craft, with a portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking and end-to-end ownership
• Experience designing for technical audiences (SDKs, APIs, developer tooling, or security products)
• Ability to translate highly technical or abstract problems into usable, elegant solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and align diverse stakeholders

• Annual base salary: $159,000 - $191,000 CAD
