The Graphic Designer will collaborate with editors and senior leadership to produce visual products that align with mission objectives. Responsibilities include conceptualizing and designing graphics for briefings and presentations while ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with editors, subject matter experts, and senior leadership to produce mission-aligned visual products
- Interpret project objectives and incorporate feedback from senior leaders to ensure clarity, accuracy, and visual impact
- Conceptualize, design, and produce graphics, infographics, exhibits, and display art for briefings, presentations, and official engagements
- Develop creative solutions from minimal guidance or rough concepts, ensuring alignment with strategic communication goals
- Design and produce print, digital, and motion graphics using industry-standard tools including Adobe Creative Suite
- Optimize designs for multiple platforms, including digital displays, social media, presentations, and printed materials
- Ensure all products comply with branding standards, accessibility requirements, and DoD visual communication policies
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, or multimedia production, preferably in a DoD or military environment
- Demonstrated experience designing for briefings, presentations, digital platforms, and print media
- Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, branding, and composition
