The Graphic Designer manages a high volume of design and production requests, overseeing the full lifecycle of creative projects. They ensure design consistency across communications and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent application of school identity across all communications and touchpoints
- Translate organisational goals and stakeholder briefs into effective, creative design solutions
- Develop templates, guidelines, and systems to streamline design processes and enhance brand visibility
- Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues and student contributors in design practices
- Manage end-to-end project workflows, including intake, design, reviews, approvals, and production
- Engage with diverse stakeholder groups from senior leadership to students ensuring expectations, feedback, and outcomes are aligned
- Prioritise and balance a high volume of requests, implementing systems to track progress and deadlines
- Proactively communicate timelines, requirements, and deliverables to keep projects on track
- Oversee production schedules, budgets, and quality control for print and digital outputs
- Liaise with external vendors, including printers, photographers, and agencies, to deliver cost-effective and high-quality outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ professional design experience, ideally within a high-volume, multi-stakeholder environment
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from brief to production, within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, vendor liaison, and production logistics
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and related tools
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and senior leaders
- Experience in setting up and managing systems for design requests, workflow tracking, and asset libraries
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff or student contributors
