The Product Designer will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing HVAC equipment and systems. This includes using design tools, performing technical analyses, and collaborating with teams to ensure high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
