Product Designer I

The Product Designer will design, develop, and release new products focused on shooting, hunting, and the outdoors. They will also assist Product Engineers on projects requiring Industrial Design input and improve existing products.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of design and development for products for the company, including design, documentation, quality, improvements and problem resolution, documentation standards and records
- Work under the guidance of the Product Engineers on product testing, product verification and validation, root cause analysis
- Adhere to and improve the companyâs New Product Introduction Process (NPI)
- Act as Project Champion for projects including cost analysis, quality, schedule, compliance, etc.
- Responsible for improving costs, quality, and design of existing products
- Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and supply base in relation to NPI
- Build and maintain professional, constructive working relationships with other departments and with suppliers
- Resolve quality and customer support issues by lending expertise to respective departments
- Work safely as well as identify and report any safety hazards immediately
- Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all common areas
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or Equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of experience, 2-5 years preferred
- Proficient with CREO, Solidworks or other CAD platform
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator or other rendering software
- Microsoft Office
- Passion for the outdoor industry is preferred
