The Product Designer will lead design and research initiatives to enhance the customer experience on the Contentful platform. This includes conducting user research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and executing high-fidelity designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and research initiatives
- Conduct primary research including user interviews, usability testing and competitive analysis
- Represent customer needs through work and via conversations with the team
- Collaborate via workshops and wireframes on shaping requirements to support business goals and customer needs
- Participate in product designer critiques and share outs
- Execute high fidelity designs that bring requirements from conceptual to deliverable
- Create blue sky design prototypes that inform how to approach customer experience solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Self-starter and organized
- Open to trade-offs and negotiation
- Experience with user research and testing
- Experience in meeting and workshop facilitation
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and capable of adding clarity to the table
- Strong conceptual skills to design for complex scenarios
- Strong communicator and user advocate
- Comfortable communicating to company leadership
- Experience with design systems and a solid understanding of interaction patterns
- Knowledgeable and passionate about AI solutions and tooling
