Web Designer

The Web Designer is responsible for designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly websites while collaborating with various teams to meet client objectives. They will also execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and drive engagement across multiple channels.

• Designing and developing visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional websites
• Collaborating with designers, developers, and content creators to ensure that websites meet client objectives, engage target audiences, and achieve desired results.
• Executing visually compelling marketing campaigns that capture the brand's essence and drive engagement across multiple channels.
• Assisting in creating and maintaining consistency in all web-based advertising campaigns, identities, and web processes
• Assisting in the development and execution of creative strategies that align with the marketing objectives and enhance brand awareness.
• Assisting in maintaining, updating, and enhancing company websites
• Gathering information about the client's business, target audience, and industry trends to inform design decisions.
• Creating graphics, icons, and other visual elements that enhance the website's appearance and user experience.
• Collaborating in creative sessions for project kick-offs.
• Maintaining archives of all previous work
• Generating innovative design ideas that align with the client's brand identity and messaging
• Developing basic outlines and interactive models of the website's structure and layout.
• Taking photos/videos as needed of models, classes, employees, and residents for use on websites, brochures, and other collateral
• Creating eye-catching video content optimized for social media channels highlighting amenities, guest experiences, and event highlights.
• Ensuring that websites are optimized for various screen sizes and devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones
• Working closely with developers to implement design concepts and ensure seamless integration of design elements into the website's code
• Regularly updating and maintaining websites to address issues, implement new features, and ensure ongoing performance
• Keeping informed about the latest web design trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and gaining customers’ trust and respect
• Developing positive working relationships with customers through responsiveness and delivery of accurate, timely, and effective services and acts with customers in mind
• Exhibiting effort and follow-through in resolving customer problems and needs promptly and keeping customers frequently abreast of development and status of the issue
• Bringing resolution to issues on a timely basis and within policies or established standards
• Anticipating the needs of users and ensuring these needs are taken into consideration when completing assignments
• Upholding and evolving the company’s brand identity, ensuring all creative works reflect values, mission, and brand.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that promote the company’s offerings, including special events and promotions.
• Designing and producing high-quality visuals for digital and print advertising, ensuring all creative elements align with the marketing strategy and brand identity
• Ensuring that quality outcomes and timely work are delivered
• Informing management of any changes, potential problems, or outstanding issues
• Collaborating with team members within the department and companywide
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Events, and Operations, to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
• Presenting creative concepts and strategies to senior management, incorporating feedback as needed
• Reporting any incident or accident to the Manager/Director.
• Presents self professionally and displays discretion at all times
• Performing all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
• Striving to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Web, Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in web design and maintenance required
• 2+ years of experience in a creative design or marketing role required
• Portfolio that fully illustrates talents, abilities, and work experiences preferred
• Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns.
• Prior website development required
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Illustrator required
• Experience in Apple iMovie or Adobe Premiere, preferred
