Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing art and materials for library publications and publicity media while maintaining the library’s brand. This includes creating illustrations, newsletters, ads, brochures, and other promotional materials.
Responsibilities
- Designs and produces art for all library publications and publicity media
- Develops visual/graphic portions of special campaigns
- Develops library signage
- Design and build library floats for parades
- Proofreads, writes and edits copy as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field
- Three years or more of job-related experience
- Computer experience including graphic art software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
- Ability to work day, evening, and weekend hours
Key Skills
- Knowledge of marketing department practices and procedures
- Knowledge of original and computer-generated art production and design
- Knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, color theory, branding and typography
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work on several projects at one time
