A Summer Internship is available for a UX designer to contribute to the design of end-to-end product experiences on the Mobile App team, working on real projects and having real responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and have a genuine desire to learn about the energy business and industry.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to discovery and research efforts
- Going wide on ideation and narrowing to valuable solutions via testing and iteration
- Contributing to the design of end-to-end product experiences on the Mobile App team
- Collaborating and communicating with the extended product development team
- Designing within the Vivint Design Library
- Contributing to and maintaining the Vivint Design Library
- Designing for accessibility needs
- Proactively surfacing issues that could impact timelines or user experience
- Designing compelling experiences that will excite everyone who comes in contact with them
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in a broad range of design methodologies
- A PDF or online portfolio demonstrating a thoughtful design process that clearly shows the ability to design pleasant and functional end to end experiences
- A passion for design with a high attention to detail
- Solid visual design skills
- Experience at all stages of the design process - making wireframes, building prototypes, crafting high-fidelity visual designs
