Lead Product Designer, Slack Platform

The Lead Product Designer will work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent the design team and ensure design quality. They will also mentor other designers and help evolve design team practices.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and ensure design quality
• Collaborate closely with leadership to define features and influence the overall direction of your product area
• Design flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity UI for experiments and features
• Work closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience throughout every phase of a project

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in an individual contributor role on a Product Design team
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking
• Experience designing for platforms, developer tools, or integration ecosystems with a focus on flexibility and extensibility
• A strong understanding of developer workflows and the ability to design for technical users
