Lead the design process from understanding user needs to crafting intuitive experiences. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape new features and improve existing ones.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process end-to-end from understanding user needs to crafting delightful, intuitive experiences
- Turn complex system challenges into clear, elegant, and human-centered design solutions
- Apply design thinking and data-informed insights to solve real problems for hoteliers, operators, and travelers
- Communicate your ideas visually and clearly from low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to shape new features and improve existing ones
- Conduct and analyze user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on designs
- Advocate for the user asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and balancing business goals with user needs
- Continuously evolve as a designer while helping elevate the design culture at Apaleo
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX) for web and mobile
- A strong grasp of user-centered design principles, user research, and usability testing
- Strategic thinking
- A portfolio that showcases your design process, problem-solving skills, and sense of visual clarity
- You are on top of everything AI related, you use AI to boost your workflows and you understand the challenges of building an AI product
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Business fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to step into both the travelerâs and the hotelierâs shoes
