Senior UX Designer, Interaction Design

As the Senior UX Designer, you will own the interaction layer by defining and validating complex user flows and interaction models. You will also drive product strategy by collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to translate product goals into shippable features.

Responsibilities

• Owning the interaction layer: defining and validating complex user flows, information architecture, and interaction models across multiple products on web and mobile
• Driving product strategy: partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to translate high-level product goals and vague concepts into clear, shippable features
• Prototyping for clarity: utilizing advanced prototyping skills to communicate functionality, detailed interaction pathways, and motion effectively to engineers and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, user experience, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional work experience in software product design, interaction design, and user experience
• A strong portfolio demonstrating recent design experience
• Proven ability to operate autonomously and contribute to product strategy beyond just execution

Key Skills

• Advanced prototyping skills (in Figma)
• Strong opinions, loosely held – conviction in design decisions, but approaching feedback and critique with humility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with a willingness to quickly discard ideas and pivot based on feedback
