The Product Designer is responsible for designing user-centered interfaces for mobile AAC apps and collaborating with various stakeholders to understand communication needs. They create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Design user-centered interfaces for mobile AAC apps across iOS and Android platforms, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for diverse user populations
- Collaborate with AAC users, caregivers, clinicians, and internal teams to understand communication needs and translates them into functional design solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and supports alternative access methods
Requirements
- Strong portfolio demonstrating inclusive design for mobile platforms
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Solid understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
