The Lead UX Designer will partner with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to create user-centered design solutions. They will manage multiple projects, advocate for user experience, and mentor junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Partnering closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate user goals into elegant, memorable design solutions
- Managing multiple projects of moderate scope across the product lifecycle, setting the vision for the user experience, and clearly explaining the strategic purpose and user value behind decisions
- Driving and collaborating on user testing sessions
- Operating autonomously and driving progress by balancing collaboration, alignment, and decisiveness
- Operating across projects with different speeds and effectively balancing big thinking and timely execution
- Being the voice of the user, advocating for solutions that deliver the best user experience with a consideration of available site data, user research, and industry best practices
- Following and advocating for the design system, with the latitude to push it further
- Exploring and prototyping AI-enhanced design workflows and user experiences
- Mentoring and coaching junior designers
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience designing across mobile and web
- Passion for design systems and data-informed product design
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion
- Excellent communication skills, conviction, and a strong design point of view
- A passion for travel
- Portfolio that showcases your contributions to a design system and digital products, and demonstrates originality and strong problem-solving skills
