Senior Digital Product Designer (Contractor Conversion)

The Senior Digital Product Designer is responsible for designing and user testing best-in-class digital experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role also involves leading user-centered discovery and evaluative design research processes.
Responsibilities
- Research, concept and design intuitive digital product experiences that simplify complex functionality
- Lead collaborative working sessions such as design thinking, story mapping and design sprints
- Create recommendations in the form of site maps, user flows, wireframes and interaction-based prototypes
- Advocate and guide user research activities, including usability testing and heuristic evaluations
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to advocate user needs, as well as understand business goals and technical capabilities
- Work with development through implementation to ensure the desired user experience is carried through
- Contribute to process improvements and change management, evangelizing user centered design and forward-thinking experiences
- Provide mentorship to interns/co-ops and new team members
Requirements
- BA or Certification in Design with a focus on user experience, interaction design, communications design or related field
- 3 or more years of experience in a field that directly or readily translates to the responsibilities of this role
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates a professional caliber of a skill related to the function of this role
- Ability to own and articulate design decisions
- Basic understanding of agile product development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
