Senior Product Designer, Capital Marketplace

Senior Product Designer role at Upstart, a digital-first company, to create user-centered experiences for lenders and investors across the Capital Marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Create user journeys, workflows, prototypes, and polished mockups
• Lead research, discovery, and usability studies with internal teams and capital partners
• Translate complex financial, compliance, and operational requirements into intuitive experiences
• Partner with product and engineering teams to design lender and investor interfaces
• Shape internal tools that streamline deal setup, program configuration, performance reporting, and platform scalability

Requirements

• 7 or more years designing customer-facing or enterprise digital products
• Demonstrated expertise designing for responsive web and, ideally, native mobile or tablet workflows
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking grounded in user insight, clarity, and system-level reasoning
• Skilled with Figma and research tools such as Usertesting, Maze, or Lookback
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners in technical, risk, or compliance-driven domains
