Validation Specialist ** Onsite - Palo Alto**

Varian Medical Systems is seeking a Validation Specialist to represent the voice of clinical users and patients, identifying clinical workflow bottlenecks and ensuring the quality of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that validation is complete, and that Varian’s products are safe, effective, and meet the user’s intended use, with good objective test evidence prior to release
• Evaluate and discuss clinical practices, treatment techniques and clinical process optimizations with Product Management, User Experience and Design Engineering teams to define new product requirements
• Provide continuous feedback and implement improvements to the design, development, and modification of radiation and oncology products and systems
• Support development and maintenance of Varian products, including Oncology Information Systems, Treatment Planning Management Systems, and Treatment Delivery and Imaging Systems

Requirements

• Current clinical certification/registration as a Radiation Therapist plus five (5) years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Degree (B.A., B.S., or its foreign degree equivalent) plus five (5) years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist and/or Clinical Applications Specialist using Varian’s products
• Thorough understanding of simulation, imaging, and treatment delivery clinical workflow scenarios in a radiation therapy center
