GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer will design and prepare graphics for various departmental materials and assist in photographic processes. They will also coordinate with the web team and maintain project tracking systems to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Designs and prepares graphics for the Department’s social media, brochures, reports, booklets, and pamphlets; arranges content in the most effective manner for presentation.
• Takes photographs and videos of department action, including live and still scenes, portraits, reports, exhibits, exhibits, publications, social media, etc.
• Assist in photographic and process involved in the reproduction of graphic material.
• Develops formatting and graphic elements for internal communications and educational material for Department staff to ensure effective communication with the public.
• Communicates with team members about layout and design.
• Upholds and maintains a system for tracking progress on projects to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assists in the development of plans, presentations, studies, and reports.
• Coordinates with the Department web team.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and other graphic design programs.
• Must have two (2) years of experience in multimedia design.
• Postsecondary education may substitute on a year for year basis for the required experience.
