About Mercata

The goal of Mercata is simple: help financial analysts waste less time searching for data and more time applying judgement and making trade decisions. Mercata is an AI-native Research OS that gives investment teams a faster, smarter way to turn their vast sea of raw information into action. LLMs can summarize text, but they are factually inaccurate and not suitable for high stakes decision making without assistance. They invent facts, lose context, and cannot show their sources. Mercata fixes this by grounding AI in a continuously updated knowledge graph that maps how companies, people, projects, and events connect and evolve over time. This creates a living intelligence layer that links every fact within every document and dataset together. Analysts can ask complex, high-context questions such as “Which board members worked together before?”, or “how much of this 300 page filing is REALLY new news” and get precise, source-linked answers in seconds. On top of this foundation, Merc
