The Staff Product Designer will design and evolve high-level design patterns and UI kits while ensuring scalability and usability. They will also lead meetings for planning and critique, and support cross-team initiatives to enhance the design practice at Deliveroo.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve high-level design patterns, UI kits, guidelines, and custom tooling
- Ensure everyone is equipped to adopt design systems as they grow
- Champion consistency, a high degree of UI craft, and the inclusion of illustration and animation in products
- Lead regular meetings for planning and critique of design work
- Partner with front-end engineers
- Support cross-team initiatives
Requirements
- 10+ years experience as a Product Designer
- Well-trained eye for great visual design execution
- Fantastic at communicating thinking and design decisions
- Well-versed at working with disciplines to achieve the best outcome
- Experience mentoring others in professional development as designers
- Positive contribution to hiring practices within the organisation
