UX Designer – Turn complex aquaculture data into clarity for a global platform

As a UX Designer, you will shape the user experience of the web portal by translating customer needs into design improvements. You will collaborate with product and development teams to ensure usability and visual alignment.

Responsibilities

  • creating sketches, prototypes, and concepts in Figma for testing with customers and development
  • gathering, structuring, and assessing customer input together with the product team
  • planning and running short, focused customer sessions to validate designs and collect feedback
  • using Hotjar and real user behaviour to uncover improvement opportunities
  • ensuring high usability and visual alignment with OptoScale’s visual identity
  • collaborating closely with developers to ensure solutions are feasible and clearly specified
  • evolving and maintaining the design system and brand elements in the web portal

Requirements

  • experience with UX design for web products or complex digital solutions
  • strong proficiency in Figma
  • the ability to understand user needs and turn them into clear design solutions
  • experience with prototyping and iterative testing
  • the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in parallel
  • strong communication and collaboration skills
  • fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
