Design Engineering Process Manager

The Process Manager, Design Engineering is responsible for managing contract and purchase order reviews, leading pre- and post-production meetings, and coordinating Design Engineering activities. This role ensures accurate cost estimating for new parts, manages design changes, guides method and tooling development, and drives cost reduction and quality improvements across products and processes.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and direct Design Engineering staff to support Engineering and ATI Forged Products objectives
- Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements supporting business goals
- Select, train, evaluate, and motivate Design Engineering personnel to develop organizational capability
- Ensure contract and customer order reviews are completed accurately and timely
- Prioritize and track progress of estimating projects, new part development, customer orders, and backlog resolution
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, or related preferred)
- 7+ years of engineering experience in heavy manufacturing or aerospace industries
- Strong understanding of forging, heat treating, machining, and NDT processes
- Experience managing contract/order reviews and interpreting customer technical requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering, technical staff, or cross-functional project teams

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and project backlogs in a fast-paced environment
