The Lead Product Designer will define and evolve the long-term vision for the design system while leading and mentoring designers. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth adoption and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve the long-term vision for the design system
- Build clear standards, processes, and governance to ensure consistency and scalability
- Champion the design system across the organisation, creating alignment and advocacy for its future direction
- Lead and mentor designers, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth
Requirements
- Design System Expertise: Proven experience leading design systems in complex or multi-brand environments
- Technical Knowledge: Expert in Figma, including tokens, theming, libraries, version control, and documentation tools (Storybook, Zeroheight)
- Process & Operational Excellence: Ability to design and scale operational foundations that drive adoption, efficiency, and consistency
- Communication & Facilitation: Skilled at articulating the value of design systems and bringing stakeholders on the journey
- Leadership & Influence: Experienced in mentoring and guiding teams, with strong influence across disciplines
