Principle Product Designer

The Arena Group is seeking a Principal UX Designer to help define the next wave of publishing, editorial, and content-driven experiences. This role requires a maker with vision, someone who can zoom out to define a system and zoom in to perfect a component.

Responsibilities

• Design System Management: Maintain, evolve, and scale our multi-site design system
• Editorial & CMS Experience: Improve WordPress tools and workflows used by editors
• Innovation, Prototyping & Testing: Explore and prototype new ideas for content, engagement, and discovery
• New Site Launch Support: Collaborate with production teams on themes, templates, and design requirements
• Cross-Team Collaboration & Design Excellence: Drive clarity and alignment across Product, Engineering, and Editorial

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency with Figma, including components, libraries, and prototyping
• Familiarity with modern AI-accelerated prototyping tools
• Strong visual design background with exceptional attention to craft, detail, clarity, and consistency
• Experience building and scaling design systems in complex environments
• Ability to rapidly prototype ideas and test them with real users
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
