Senior Product Designer, Safety

As a Senior Product Designer, you will create platform-level designs that support users in moments of need and uphold community standards across Roblox. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the platform's approach to trust and safety through thoughtful design.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, compelling, and empathetic experiences that help IP holders and users understand usage guidelines, content labels, and tools to manage the community’s engagement with their IP.
• Design for diverse audiences—young users, teens, adults, brands, and developers—ensuring educational moments are accessible, age-appropriate, and effective.
• Collaborate with the Foundation Design Systems team to develop scalable, reusable patterns for across safety features.
• Care about craft by creating visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces across devices and surfaces for a global audience.
• Use data, research, and experimentation to develop a deep understanding of user behavior to inform design decisions and improve compliance outcomes.
• Partner cross-functionally with policy, product, and engineering teams to ensure quality, strategic alignment,and best-in-class user experience.
• Help define the UX strategy and roadmap for the IP platform and regional compliance for experiences.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Product Design, User Experience Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in UX/UI design, with a strong track record of delivery innovative consumer social experiences
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design skills and user-centered design thinking.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Maya or similar software.
• End to End systems thinking that advocates for comprehensive and connected user experiences
• A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Expert knowledge of communication design patterns and familiarity with e-commerce, 3D Avatars and gaming experiences.
• Proactive problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a design team.
• Collaborative mentality with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence design decisions.
• A deep understanding and passion for the gaming industry, especially user-generated content platforms like Roblox.
• A keen interest in user experience trends, industry advancements, and emerging technologies.
• The ability to balance business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints in design solutions.
