As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design of Newborns products, ensuring they are innovative and user-friendly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and realize the product vision and roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Get to know the Newborns service and its users
  • Design the User Experience, working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Input into the product vision and roadmap
  • Champion accessibility, applying NHS design systems and frameworks
  • Design to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the wider design community, building a shared component library
  • Facilitate decision-making and co-creation, bringing together diverse perspectives

Requirements

  • Substantial experience as a Senior Product Designer with examples of live delivery
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional product squad
  • Demonstrable knowledge of product design processes and methodologies
  • Able to work end-to-end, from discovery to launch, and beyond
  • Understanding of how to evaluate and interpret user research findings to wireframe and prototype solutions
  • Knowledge of the WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines and general practice
  • Proactive collaborator who embraces working with a diverse range of people
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Desire to continually improve work through giving and receiving feedback
  • Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools
