Senior Product Designer

Kira is seeking a Senior Product Designer to play a hands-on role in designing core experiences that power Kira, owning end-to-end design for critical product areas and working directly with Product and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for high-impact features
- Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs with a focus on clarity and usability
- Use interactive prototyping to explore ideas and test with learners, educators, and creators
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, shape solutions, and ensure smooth handoff
- Conduct and synthesize user research and usability studies to inform design decisions
- Contribute directly to our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability
- Deliver pixel-perfect designs while balancing speed, iteration, and thoughtful detail
- Present design concepts to stakeholders with clear rationale and storytelling
- Stay curious about AI, design tools, and EdTech trends, bringing fresh ideas into our workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product/UX design, with at least some exposure to EdTech or SaaS platforms
- Strong portfolio that shows end-to-end product design and measurable impact
- Proficiency in Figma (and comfortable with systems like ShadCN, Radix, or similar component libraries)
- Advanced prototyping skills (Figma, Framer, Protopie, Principle, or similar) for research and iteration
- Strong understanding of user research and testing methods, and the ability to apply insights directly into design work
- Detail-oriented craft paired with strong systems thinking
- Excellent communication skills to explain design choices and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
