Drive mechanical engineering activities for New Product Development projects, from concept through production launch. Provide technical direction for component and system-level design, validation, and integration across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive mechanical engineering activities for New Product Development projects, from concept through production launch
- Provide technical direction for component and system-level design, validation, and integration across cross-functional teams
- Develop and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and product documentation using PTC Creo and PLM tools
- Coordinate BoM creation, product release activities, and Engineering Change Orders using PLM tools
- Plan and support design validation activities including prototype builds and DVT testing
- Support lab validation, root cause analysis, and resolution of product issues across prototype and production phases
- Collaborate with suppliers to refine designs and achieve cost, quality, and schedule goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–7 years of experience in product development and mechanical system design
- Strong understanding of thermal and fluid systems, HVAC, hydronic, or data centre cooling products
- Proficiency in CAD software such as PTC Creo and PLM systems such as Oracle PD Cloud or equivalent
- Experience in DVT testing, design validation, and field issue resolution
- Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively across functions and regions
