Drive short and long-term research plans to fill knowledge gaps and inform product decisions. Analyze user behavior patterns and churn drivers to uncover insights for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Determine which mixed methods research to use and apply it
  • Combine qualitative sense-making with rigorous statistical analysis to distill complex data into actionable insights
  • Drive research that defines the customer and informs product strategy for a feature area
  • Take ownership of creating new solutions and conducting UX testing to uncover insights for continuous improvement
  • Analyze the user funnels, using mixed methods approaches to understand behavior patterns, churn drivers, and the underlying rationale for feature adoption
  • Contribute to cross-disciplinary research efforts, mentoring other disciplines and independently managing research tools, recruitment programs, and large-scale customer learning events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years User Experience Research experience
  • Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 1+ year(s) User Experience Research experience
  • Doctorate in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years user experience research experience
  • Equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in mixed (quantitative and qualitative) methods studies such as surveys and telemetry analyses
  • 1+ year(s) relevant domain experience within technology sector
  • 1+ year(s) experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design
