Lead the design of visual materials for planning initiatives and develop project websites for community engagement. Collaborate with planners to translate technical content into engaging graphics and support document production using Adobe Creative Suite.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of visual materials for planning initiatives, including logos, color schemes, charts, maps, and infographics
- Develop and maintain project websites and digital platforms for community engagement
- Prepare promotional graphics for events, social media, and outreach campaigns
- Create layouts for planning reports, slide decks, and presentation boards, enhancing readability and visual appeal
- Collaborate with planners and other team members to translate technical content into engaging, story-driven graphics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and large-scale report documents
- Strong visual storytelling skills, with a background in technical writing, journalism, or related areas preferred
- Familiarity with community planning, local government operations, or economic development is a plus but not required
