Microsoft Azure Cloud Experiences Studio is seeking a UX Researcher to influence and help create the next generation of cloud infrastructure, working with a multidisciplinary team to drive human-centered strategy and set product direction.

Responsibilities

  • Determine which mixed methods research to use and apply it, combining qualitative sense-making with rigorous statistical analysis, to distill complex data into actionable insights for a feature area
  • Drive research that defines the customer and informs product strategy for a feature area
  • Take ownership of creating new solutions and conducting UX testing to uncover insights for continuous improvement, including Diversity & Inclusion and accessibility
  • Analyze the user funnels, using mixed methods approaches to understand behavior patterns, churn drivers, and the underlying rationale for feature adoption
  • Contribute to cross-disciplinary research efforts, mentoring other disciplines and independently managing research tools, recruitment programs, and large-scale customer learning events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences OR related field AND 2+ years User Experience Research experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences OR related field AND 1+ year(s) User Experience Research experience
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in mixed (quantitative and qualitative) methods studies such as surveys and telemetry analyses
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
