Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will create and update design materials for Latino Studies, including logos, brochures, and social media content. The role involves collaborating with the Latino Studies team and managing multiple projects to meet production deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Produce visually engaging and professional quality graphic design and layout of logos, brochures, catalogs, policy briefs, calendars, posters, flyers, newsletters, advertisement reports, surveys, powerpoint presentations, social media and other web or printed materials
- Consult with immediate supervisor to determine the most appropriate method for preparing work to meet production deadlines and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with Latino Studies team in planning and executing projects and events
- Aid in content capture with photography or videography as needed
- Updates website content and assists in social media posts
- Coordinates with internal and external printing entities and converts files to appropriate formats for each specific project
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one year of experience in graphic design and production
- Familiarity with tools and software commonly used in all aspects of graphic design
- Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite and Web management software
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with faculty, staff, and student groups
