Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will execute graphic design projects that support all service areas of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority. Responsibilities include designing and producing high-quality artwork for various media, including print, web, and video.
Responsibilities
- Creates content, layout, design, and final art elements which includes logos, artwork, images, videos, illustrations, colors, typography and other graphic elements
- Designs, prepares, fabricates, and updates layouts for publications, presentations, reports, social media, webpages, videos, certificates, diagrams, flyers and other public documents including the agencyโs annual report
- Follows standardized guidelines for displaying and utilizing logos and branding elements to strengthen OMMAโs brand identity
- Manages internal and external website updates in collaboration with the Creative Services Manager
- Assists the Creative Services Manager with video production, including post-production (e.g., editing and visual effects) and publishing
- Assists the Creative Services Manager in management of the agency studio and coordinating video and photo shoots
- Corrects and edits photographic images
- Collaborates with OMMA employees to produce and finalize content
- Maintains and archives all records, negatives, original art and other related work
- Maintains the proper legal protection of real and intellectual property
- Supports the Communications Department in delivering timely, accurate information and keeping the public informed of updates and changes
Requirements
- Technical or associate degree in visual communications, design, graphic or commercial art or closely related field and three years of experience in producing projects such as brochures, signage, or other related work using digital technology
- Sixty semester hours from a college or university with twelve semester hours in marketing, visual communications, mass communications, photography, advertising or design and three years of experience in producing print media or other related electronic media using digital technology
- An equivalent combination of education and experience

- Ability to produce color matchups and prepress proofs
- Ability to electronically transfer digital documents for printing on a high-end four color press
- Ability to convert layouts to PDF for Web imaging and video production
- Ability to determine correct print production techniques for four color press and color printers
- Ability to select the proper paper for specific outputs
- Ability to prepare electronic prepress files for output
- Ability to plan and produce web and video productions
- Ability to use electronic prepress, photo manipulation, vector graphic creation, web page development and video production hardware and software
