Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer provides expert graphic design and account management for a wide range of university communications across print and digital formats. This role ensures high-quality, creative communications that reflect the university’s commitment to its mission.
Responsibilities
- Graphic Design Services: Consult with clients regarding strategies for print, digital, and other communication projects
- Provide expertise in concepting, content structure, usability, and user interface
- Develop creative visual concepts and designs aligned with client goals
- Commission and supervise photography, illustration, and other artwork as necessary
- Personnel decisions for student employees: Make assignments to student designers and photographers and reviews their work
- Collaborate with production partners (printers, developers, etc.) to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Evaluate project outcomes and implement improvements for future work
- Account Management: Meet with clients to identify needs and offer professional consultation
- Manage major accounts with campaigns or complex, multi-component projects
- Assist with production management by determining specifications, monitoring schedules, and overseeing deadlines and budgets
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain regular communication with clients to build strong relationships and deliver excellent service
Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Five years of professional graphic design experience OR nine years of professional graphic design experience OR an equivalent combination of study and experience
