The Product Designer will develop manufacturing details and release engineering packages for customized orders while managing design projects from conception to completion. They will also provide production support throughout the manufacturing process and collaborate with various teams to optimize designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing details and release engineering packages for customized orders
- Complete detailed engineering drawings for sales and customer review within established lead times
- Design and manage design projects from conception to completion
- Provide exceptional production support throughout the manufacturing process
- Offer professional guidance and proposals regarding design and layouts of products specified for custom customer projects
- Collaborate with operations, shared services, sales, and peer teams in efforts to optimize designs for cost, manufacturing, installation, and project integration
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of Solid Works or other 3D CAD software
- Comprehensive understanding of product design and engineering standards
- Aptitude to work in both imperial and metric units of measurement
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Superior initiative, self-motivation, professionalism, and ethics
- Ability to travel internationally
