User Experience Designer (12-month contract)

A leading global investment bank and financial services firm is seeking a UX Designer to join on a 12-month contract. The UX Designer will be responsible for conducting user research, developing user personas, and creating information architecture and interaction design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive user research to understand behaviors, needs, goals, and pain points
• Develop user personas, user journey maps, and empathy maps based on findings
• Create information architecture, user flows, and site maps to ensure intuitive navigation
• Design user flow diagrams to illustrate how users move through products
• Develop low-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes to visualize solutions and test concepts early
• Conduct usability testing, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate on designs to ensure user-centered and goal-aligned solutions
• Work closely with developers, users, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field
• 5+ years of proven experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role
• Expertise in standard UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, or similar
• Strong mastery of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
• Highly self-motivated and proactive

Key Skills

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (React, Angular)
• Experience with UI testing tools (Cypress, Cucumber, etc.)
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools applied to UX workflows
