Amazon is seeking a UX designer to design experiences for the Kindle Scribe device, working with emerging technologies and thinking about design across hardware devices and surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Create user-centered designs and workflows by considering customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings
- Use business requirements and customer research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
- Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
- Create conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes
- Define and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
- Develop streamlined prioritization and work processes in collaboration with product and engineering partners
- Present design work to the design team, product stakeholders, and Amazon executives
Requirements
- 6+ years of design experience
- Available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
