As a Senior Product Designer, you'll shape the future of Xero's products by contributing to the product vision and strategy. You'll work independently or collaboratively to deliver high-quality experiences that meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design Excellence & Innovation: delivering detailed design deliverables and high-quality experiences that contribute to business objectives and world-class end-to-end experiences
- Strategic Research & Insights: collaborating with researchers and product managers to conduct research using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods
- Communication – effectively communicating design ideas with others, constructing evidence-based arguments to support decisions and direction
- Project Leadership & Planning: independently organizing, breaking down, and sequencing work effectively to achieve goals
- Product Strategy & Systems: having a strong understanding of Xero's strategy and contributing to the product vision and roadmap
- Mentorship & Influence: demonstrating design leadership by effectively partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment on design solutions
Requirements
- A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design outcomes, contributing to user experience and business value
- Experience working on large design projects
- Experience building and iterating on a product or experiences based on usage patterns, user feedback and an evolving strategic landscape
- Experience across the entire design process, with mastery in executing elegant interfaces
- Experience supporting product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
Key Skills
- Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals and platform standards
- Ability to deliver detailed design deliverables and high-quality experiences
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to construct evidence-based arguments to support design decisions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
